He struggled to make a living at art and eventually settled on pursuing porcelain art and pottery. Mainstream success evaded him, at least until he met Mogens Ballin who helped hone his skills in silversmithing. Eventually Georg Jensen found great success by combining his imagination with the skill of silversmithing to create his own brand of modern silverware. Even today his works, including the Georg Jensen brooch, is renowned as a high piece of art.
